Zook rupture discs provide protection for personnel and equipment involved with static and dynamic pressurised systems. The discs are manufactured from petroleum coke, processed at 5000oF, to produce graphite. They are then impregnated with phenolic resins, which renders the graphite impermeable.
Zook discs cover burst ratings from 1.72 kPa to 7.0 MPa (standard tolerance is 5%) depending on diameters, from 15mm to 600mm. Discs are machined from a single piece of material, they are tamper proof, have no springs or moving parts and mount directly between standard flanges without the need of special holders.
Disc styles include Mono, Inverted, Duplex, Two-Way, Insulated, Railroad, Transportation, Sanitary and Replacement Element types.
